Akhand Deep (One Day)

There is an Akhand Deep (continuous fire and light) in Kashi Vishwanath Temple that has been continuously burning since ancient times round the clock. This light is a symbol of the eternal light of knowledge. To show their reverence to Lord Shiva, devotees can contribute to the continuous burning of Akhand Deep by pouring “ghee” into this "deep".
